About OX13

OX13+ is Appleton ’s own youth club for young people in year 8 to 18 years from the village and surrounding communities. We started in September 2004 following frequent requests from local kids for a place in the village to meet.

We now meet twice a month during term time, generally in the village hall, but sometimes up at the Sportsfield during the summer months for BBQ, footie and rounders. All sorts of activities are on offer - pool and table tennis, music and films on a regular club night – and themed evenings which have included quiz nights, karaoke, graffiti night, drumming workshop, dodgeball, tennis, and pizza making. All this for just £1.50 per session!

The youth club is entirely volunteer run, but everyone has been DBS (CRB)

checked and there’s always a first-aider on call. We are affiliated to Oxfordshire Youth, an umbrella charitable body that supports volunteer run youth clubs with advice and activities leaders – from multi-sports to beat-boxing. If you’re interested, please e-mail Alison (, or watch out for posters around the village.
